Frequently Asked Questions

What information do I need to provide to make the first step?

Fill out our new client request form or give us a call at (469) 256-8885.

How long are sessions?

Most sessions are 50 minutes in length, with the exception of the initial session + school clearance appointments.

What if I need to cancel/reschedule?

All appointments for counseling must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. You may cancel by texting (469) 256-8885 or by calling & leaving a voicemail. You will incur a charge for appointments not canceled 24 hours in advance unless there is an emergency or illness. Monday appointments must be canceled on the previous Friday, please.

Do you take insurance?

As a fee for service provider, I’m able to tailor each session to individual client needs, as we are not constrained by the mandates of an insurance company.

Sessions can be paid for with credit cards, FSA/HSA, or cash. If you choose for your default payment to be FSA/HSA or cash, a back up credit card will also be placed on file.

Katura Counseling is not contracted with insurance providers. This means you are responsible for paying for services at the end of each session. Upon request, Katura Counseling can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
